Well as long as I'm going to be getting more divination I may as well get some practice in before the additional lessons.....
Looking to Sean for some kind of sign she was still sane in his eyes, Amelia rose from her seat at the Professor's offer and found herself at the head of the class before she could change her mind. The first lesson hadn't gone nearly as she had planned, so she intended to make a much better, even if not more memorable, impression this time around.
And if I don't volunteer, I may have no control....Here goes nothing....

"Ya." Ariel turned back around as the Professor started to speak. She pushed the tea away as the smell reached her nostrils. She didn't like tea. It had this wierd taste. She watched Amelia walk up, the first volunteer. Seeing no one else go up at the moment, she quickly got up and headed towards the front of the room. I wonder what he will do to us....

Cody smiled as Amelia and Ariel approached his desk. He was slightly shocked at Amelia's go-get attitude about a subject, she had never taken. Although, her aura would reveal the reason she seemed to be volunteering for everything she could, the rest of the class had no clue of it.
"Alright. Miss Skyl, by your actions, I see you have no desire for tea. I would like you to interpert Amelia's results. Miss Kons, please down this cup of tea, in three swigs, please. No more, no less." With a nod, Cody handed Amelia a cup of warm green tea, in a pink china cup.

How wonderful..... I obviously didn't get enough of this last lesson.....
Amelia's thoughts were less than cooperative with the proceedings of the lesson, but she wouldn't dare sass a teacher - especially not one she would be taking extra lessons with - so she obediently took the cup in her least favourite colour and looked down onto the blurry reflection of her eyes in the brew.
Here goes nothing, she thought taking the first sip, a long drag taking about half the contents in one go. Two more sips left nothing but dregs as she handed the cup back to the professor with what she hoped was a polite smile.

Thorne smiled as Amelia took the cup from his hands, and with a less-than-enthusiastic smile and drank the tea. He smiled and looked to the group, "Children, important fact! The tea must be gone in three gulps. If not, the results will have no revelancy. Miss Skyl, please take the cup, and tell me what you see." Cody said, looking to the Gryffindor Prefect.

Amelia watched as her cup was passed from the professor to her fellow student and volunteer, her eyes flickering to the leftover substance in her teacup with mild interest and typical skepticism. She never placed much faith in this type of thing, so she was rather content to take in the information and put in on the exams.
Let's just hope nothing too revealing comes out of this...

Sean just looked on with the most blah expression possible. But in his head he was saying everything.
Who would volunteer?!
More tea?!
What in heavens name is going on?!
He said in his head as he looked at this. He had not done anything of this sort and it was turning out to look liek a joke to Sean. Was the Professor just messign with them or what? He waited to see if they got anything out of this.

Ariel peered hard at the cup. She just saw blots. Blots blots and more blots. How was she supposed to tell anything with blots? She tried turning it. Finally she thought she had something. She looked it over twice to be sure, then looked up at the professer. "I think I see a err animal of somesort. Theres the legs.... and there is four. The rest looks like blots." Ariel pointed out the four skinny line-like shapes, all connecting to a 'blot'.

Cody smiled as Ariel tried to find shapes in the cup of tea, to no avail. He took the cup from her, and looked into it, himself. He saw what she saw, but the full creature, as well as a few other things. "Thank you, Miss Skyl. Both of you please wait up here, for a moment." He said, and turned to address the class.
"What Ariel saw was a goat, which is often seen as a warning 'to be careful of enemies'. If I'm not mistaken, that appears to be a cigar, symbolizing a new friend in her life, and a church, fortelling that Amelia shall leave quite the legacy here on Earth." Thorne smiled and turned back to Amelia and Ariel.
"Now if you ladies would reverse the process. Ariel drink the tea, in three drinks, and Amelia interperet." He said and handed Ariel a new cup of tea.

Amelia's eyes peered over the professor's shoulder as he attempted to show her fellow classmates the shapes in the blobs, but from the confused expressions that dominated many of the faces he was going to have to give them a bit more practice. She herself had only seen the church, and - after Ariel had pointed it out - the four legged animal which she now knew to be a goat.
Beware of enemies.........do I have that many? Friends....legacy......load of rubbish if you ask me...
Amelia had never placed much faith in fortune telling of any kind, and so her skepticism usually prevented her from seeing most use of lessons taking place in this room. However, she intended to gain all the knowledge possible before departing from Hogwarts and that meant - Divination.

Lorelai looked at her fellow classmates at the front of the room. Upon hearing the interpretation, one single thought entered her mind. What a load of rubbish.

Ariel took the horrible tea she disliked ever so much. She took a draught, barely getting a quarter. She quickly swalowed, not wanting to taste it much longer. She took another drink from the tea. Only a third was left now. She finished it in her last drink. She then handed the cup to Amelia. The tea left that taste in her mouth, the taste that she really disliked.

Amelia, her mind reeling with the thought of embarassing herself in front of the entire class, took the cup carefully from Ariel's hands. Holding it between her palms, her spindly fingers would around in, thumb through the handle, as she peered down on the soggy contents stuck to the side of the cup.
Let's see here... she thought as she began to survey the dregs, picking out a few things here and there but nothing she thought would be incredibly important. Pulling from her memories of the text she had read earlier in the week for class preparation, she thought she had formed a fairly decent answer as she looked up to the Professor.
"I see, just here," Amelia said, taking one hand from the edge of the cup to point to a piece off to the side slightly, "a sun. This usually means 'great happiness' if I am not mistaken. Also, here," she said, pointing again, this time closer to the center, "I can see an arrow with a bent tail. That, according to our text, means that Ariel will soon change paths in life."
Amelia looked up from the teacup, up to Professor Thorne, expectantly and almost hesitantly, hoping beyond hope she had not made any terrible mistakes.

Ariel's eyes widened. Change her path of life? She loved her path. She was going to be a Proffessional Quidditch player. Unless it meant something different then that..... She awaited what the Professer had to say. Maybe there was more then that.

Cody smiled and nodded as Amelia started to look into the cup. She was not only looking through another's refreshment remains, but she was searching through Ariel's soul, her very being.
Once Amelia had finished looking for symbols in Ariel's tea remains, and having given an answer, correctly to each symbol's remains, he took a look into the cup, where she pointed. He saw the arrow, and the sun. He looked over to Ariel, who seemed rather shocked by the 'change in path' part, he assumed.
"Very good, Miss Kons. Indeed,"He said, facing the class. "The Sun is a symbol of Happiness and Good Fortune. And the broken Arrow, means a change in one's path. Not always meaning career path. It could very well mean that she will take a differant route to class next time, or she could change careers. It's not known, unless we delve further into the Divine Arts, and you lot aren't ready for that yet." He said, and set the cup down on his desk next to the pot, and other cup.
"If you will all get into pairs, I would like for you to demonstrate what we just did. I would like to observe each reading, once the tea has been consumed. Remeber, key points. Drink the tea in three slow gulps. Take in the aroma of the tea before you drink it. Then alert me once you have consumed the tea. Go to work!" He said and clapped, instantly filling each tea pot with piping hot liquid.
